Meet the 2021 AARP Purpose Prize Winners

You live. You learn. You give back. No one knows this better than people ages 50 and older who have spent decades accumulating a wealth of knowledge that only life experience can bring. From working to prevent school violence, providing necessities for kids to be school ready and healthy to helping individuals with disabilities acquire assistive technology devices, these nonprofits founders over 50 are helping to create a better future for us all. AARP is honored to award the AARP Purpose Prize, the only national award to celebrate nonprofit founders 50 and over who are pursuing their purpose to make a difference in their community and around the world. The AARP Purpose Prize is the only national award that celebrates people 50 and over who are using their life experience to create social change. AARP Purpose Prize Winners and Fellows have spent decades accumulating a wealth of knowledge that only life experience can bring. Armed with this wisdom, they become nonprofit founders of organizations that tackle some of the greatest societal challenges of our time and work to make a difference in their communities and further afield. AARP is honored to award this year’s AARP Purpose Prize to mission-focused founders, each of whom received help to fund their ongoing work. Meet this years’ winners: www.aarp.org/purposeprize
