Connections for Cardiovascular Health

The AstraZeneca HealthCare Foundation is seeking applications for its Connections for Cardiovascular Health grants program. The program awards grants from $150,000 to $180,000 to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations engaged in charitable work at the community level in support of its mission of improving cardiovascular health. The Foundation accepts single-year applications. Funded programs are eligible to receive up to three total years of grant funding. Organizations can submit online applications for the program from Monday, Feb. 2, through Thursday, Feb. 26, at 5 p.m. EST.

Age-Friendly Communities: President’s Leadership Fund

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation is accepting Letters of Intent for a new area of community investing, the Foundation President’s Leadership Fund, which is designed to support community leaders in their work with multiple stakeholders toward a common community goal. This work could include current or new activities that directly or indirectly lead to age-friendly communities and address barriers to success in the most vulnerable communities. The Foundation will consider the intersection between policy and practice as well as collaborative community work in the built environment, transportation, housing, social and civic participation and inclusion, employment, communication and information, and community support and health services.

Autism Delaware Grants

Autism Delaware is now seeking applications for its 2015 grant cycle. The organization will fund projects that seek to improve the lives of people with autism in the state of Delaware. Specifically, the organization will give special consideration to programs that improve the lives of children and adults with autism across their life spans. Although the amount available for each grant will vary according to Autism Delaware’s annual budget, a grant can be worth as much as $2,000.

Disability Communications Fund Grants Program

The Disability Communications Fund (DCF) is now accepting letters of intent (LOI) for its 2015 grants program. Disability Communications grants are awarded on an annual basis, with funding starting in late-January 2015 in this upcoming grant cycle. Grants will range in amounts from $10,000 to $100,000 and will be used to fund projects and programs which improve existing services or technology, or develop new services or technology, related to communications access for people and communities in California. Approximately $1 million will be available for competitive grants in 2015.

GSK and the Philadelphia Foundation are seeking applications for its Healthier Philadelphia grant program, which will award $5 million over three years to multiple nonprofit organizations in the Philadelphia area in an effort to help disadvantaged youth live healthier lives and contribute to a healthier community. The grant is designed to encourage collaboration among non-profit organizations and youth leaders in Philadelphia to address some of Philadelphia’s most pressing community health challenges.
