The NonProfit Times Welcomes 2014
December 31, 2013 The NonProfit Times
As we bid farewell to 2013 – year of healthcare crisis, hurricane devastation, and questionable dance moves – we at The NonProfit Times wish you all the very best for a fresh year of prosperity, ingenuity, and mission-driven success. And to help ring in 2014, we are proud to announce the release of our first issue of the New Year.
The January 1, 2014 edition of The NonProfit Times is noteworthy not just because it’s our first issue of 2014; it also contains a special report on nonprofit accounting software. Along with a look at how this technology has changed in the past year, the report also features an updated guide (including cost and other specs) of the most prominent account software available.
This issue also marks the debut of our Web Development Guide, which contains listings of various companies that can help your nonprofit make a statement on the web.
Here are other features you can expect to find in the January 1 issue:
- Giving Tuesday: More orgs, more money, more questions about donors: While nonprofit leaders are pleased with the results of #GivingTuesday — the online giving phenomena that began last year — some are wondering whether it’s truly advancing the needle on charitable giving or just moving it around during charities’ busiest time of year.
- Pay-What-You-Can Concept Challenged By Thin Margins: Panera Bread Co. wants to give something back to the communities it serves, and one way it has is to launch a series of “community cafés” where “suggested donations” replace fixed prices on the menu.
- Five Outstanding Low-Budget Websites: The NonProfit Times asked the staff at NTEN (The Nonprofit Technology Network) to examine websites of organizations with revenue of $10 million or less to find which organizations are doing it correctly.
