Submissions Wanted For 2015 DoGooder National Video Awards

Forget the Oscars or the Golden Globes: DoGooder wants to celebrate the best nonprofit videos of the year with its annual DoGooder National Video Awards.

Beginning on January 12, DoGooder will start accepting submissions for its National Video Awards. This years’ awards are presented in part by See3 Communications, YouTube, and the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), and will highlight the best in cause videos.

This years’ categories include:

  • Funny for Good Award: For those creators who are doing good with a sense of humor.
  • ImpactX Award: Honoring video that had a real on-the-ground impact.
  • Best Nonprofit Video Award: Awarded to the best overall video created by a nonprofit.
  • DoGooder YouTube Creator for Good Award: Recognizing the efforts of YouTube creators who used their storytelling talents to support nonprofit or social causes.

Launched in 2006Last year, organizations submitted a total of more than 800 videos, and thousands of public votes were cast. The winner of the Best Nonprofit Video Award in 2014 was Partners for Mental Health’s “Right By You Campaign,” a 30-second Public Service Announcement (PSA) about youth suicide.
