Stuart Paskow, CEO of Mitch-Stuart, Inc. and Michelle Cohen, president, are recipients of the Outstanding Small Business Launched by an Individual 50+ Award, sponsored by FranNet and presented by The SCORE Foundation. The company is a charter sponsor of The NonProfit Times Power and Influence Top 50 annual gala.
Mitch-Stuart Inc., based in Laguna Niguel, Calif., and with an office in Miami, Fla., received the award based on their successful small business growth and hard work every day, including:
- Being the first entity to create a relationship between the American Airlines AAdvantage Program and nonprofit organizations by offering mileage for contributions;
- Winning the Freddie Award for Distinguished Achievement in 2005;
- Altering their business model with the changing times by creating unique travel packages for nonprofit auctions and fundraising; and,
- Helping to raise more than $1 billion for more than 10 thousand charities in their 20 years of business
“We are so proud to be recognized for our hard work as a small business,” said. Paskow. “Out of the thousands of SCORE clients — and hundreds of entries — our accomplishments made us stand out,” he said. “We are so thrilled.”
“We want to thank SCORE and our wonderful customers, vendors, as well as the community for supporting us and helping us succeed. This would not have been possible without them,” said Cohen. “We’re very grateful for this unique honor.”
SCORE serves more than 350,000 clients annually. The organization honors its most successful clients at The SCORE Foundation’s annual award ceremony celebrating excellence. This year’s dinner was held August 15 in Dallas.
