Alan B. Hall has been appointed as chief executive officer of Russ Reid.
The Pasadena, Calif.-based agency announced last week that it’s merging with SCA Direct in Fairfax, Va. The combined entities will retain the name Russ Reid and likely will create the largest direct response marketing agency to nonprofits. Both are part of Diversified Agency Services, a division of Omnicom Group, Inc. The move came just weeks after a proposed merger was announced between Omnicom Group and Publicis Group SA, two of the largest advertising agencies in the world.
Hall began his career with Russ Reid in 1990 before joining McCann Relationship Marketing in 1997, Team One Advertising in 1999 as director relationship marketing, and later served as senior vice president, account management for Brierley & Partners. Hall rejoined in Russ Reid in 2002, serving as head of business development, as well as direct of client services and executive vice president. He had been president since August 2012.
The announcement was made by Tom Harrison, chair of Russ Reid and chair of Omnicom’s Nonprofit Group of agencies, who said Hall “inspires confidence in our clients and our staff, and I look forward to working alongside him in his new role as we continue to grow our people, our clients and our agency.”
