Click & Pledge Buys Donor Town Square
Click & Pledge, a Blacksburg, Va., software developer and payment processor for the nonprofit industry, has acquired the assets of Donor Town Square for an undisclosed sum.
Donor Town Square, of Crozet, Va., offered similar online fundraising and payment services to nonprofits and political campaigns. Those services will be discontinued customers transferred to Click & Pledge effective February 15.
The combined companies will have approximately 10,000 clients, according to Click & Pledge Vice President Jim Barney. Previous Click & Pledge announcements touted an estimated 9,000 users in 45 countries.
The general profile of Donor Town Square customers is 90 percent nonprofit and 10 percent political, said Barney. Barney said it was acquired with cash but declined further financial information on the deal.
Donor Town Square customers will have access to a more enriched software platform of fundraising tools as well as lower fees for online processing of financial transactions, according to Click & Pledge officials.
