Blackbaud Taps LaCour As Global Marketing Head

Catherine Cook LaCour was promoted to chief marketing officer at Blackbaud, Inc., overseeing global marketing and the Blackbaud Institute for Philanthropic Impact. The Charleston, S.C.-based software company, specializing in the nonprofit sector.

“As we embrace our commitment to help every organization in the social good community achieve digital transformation, there is no more qualified leader than Catherine LaCour to lead our global marketing strategy,” said Mike Gianoni, president and CEO of Blackbaud, in a release.

LaCour has been with Blackbaud since 2010, serving in several marketing roles, including senior vice president during the past three years. Her tenure has included launching the Blackbaud Institute Philanthropic Institute, which aims to advance research and collaboration around worldwide social impact. Prior to joining Blackbaud, LaCour worked as vice president of marketing & product management at Regent Education and vice president of marketing and business development for Infotech Strategies.

LaCour has spoken on marketing and social impact at events such as TEDx and the Social Innovation Summit. She also serves as co-chair of Blackbaud’s women’s executive networking community, a member of the board of directors for the Women’s Refugee Commission, advisory board member of the College of Charleston Graduate School, and member of the South Carolina Department of Commerce’s Council for Innovative Initiatives. She holds a MBA from American Graduate School of International Management, Bachelor of Science from the College of Charleston, and is a distinguished fellow from The Aspen Institute of Global Leadership Network’s Liberty Fellowship program.

Blackbaud (NASDAQ: BLKB) opened the day at $95.23 per share and closed at $95.55. Its 52-week highs and lows stand at $104.55 and $61.98, respectively.
