Management Tips » Boards
Nonprofit boards are the governing body of an organization. They are comprised of multiple members who are responsible for overseeing a nonprofit’s financial operations, maintaining the legal and ethical standing of the organization and its staff, and making sure that the organization is accountable to its donors and the public. Boards are also responsible for determining the nonprofit’s mission statement, and selecting its CEO. The majority of nonprofit board members are not paid, though there are some that are compensated.
