Now in its second year, the Power of the Purse Fund was created by the Berks County Community Foundation to break the cycle of poverty by empowering girls/women who want to re-enter the workplace. The Fund will distribute up to $20,000 to programs that will help to accomplish this goal. If your organization is making a difference in the lives of women and girls in Berks County by helping them discover or navigate their way to gainful employment, and ultimately, self-sufficiency, you are encouraged to submit an application for a grant.

GSK IMPACT Grants

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is seeking proposals from eligible organizations for their GSK IMPACT Grants Program. The program seeks to explore innovative health solutions to improve the health of youth in Denver and St. Louis. Organizations in each city with innovatives idea are invited to come together collectively to apply as a collaborative effort. The best application will win a $500,000 charitable grant. The 18-month pilot grant was informed in part by the Conversations on Community Health that were held last year in both Denver and St. Louis. Results from this pilot will be used to guide GSK’s future approach to philanthropy.
