Healthy Aging Grants: Purposeful Engagement

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation is seeking Letters of Inquiry (LOI) for its Healthy Aging Grants: Purposeful Engagement. The Foundation will accept applications from organizations that are working to promote that promote intergenerational collaboration, caregiver support, volunteerism, encore careers and/or paid service work, and social/cultural engagement. This includes the following types of programs:

The United Way of Westchester and Putnam is seeking letters of inquiry from organizations that work in the areas of education, employment, health, human services, and youth. Based on the results of a survey of 2,600 nonprofits, UW of Westchester and Putnam will accept letters of inquiry in these areas based on the following initiatives:

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation’s Healthy Aging Grants Program seeks to fund programs that help older adults live healthier lives. The Program is divided into three categories: Health & Wellness, Purposeful Engagement, and Empowerment. The Purposeful Engagement category is designed to help older adults engage in their communities and/or with other generations as well as find encore careers and volunteer opportunities. An important part of the foundation’s Purposeful Engagement program area is Caregiver Support.

The Program is divided into three categories: Health & Wellness, Purposeful Engagement, and Empowerment. The Health & Wellness category focuses on promoting chronic disease self-management and prevention, exercise and nutrition, and mobility, strength and balance for older adults.

GSK IMPACT Grants

GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is seeking proposals from eligible organizations for their GSK IMPACT Grants Program. The program seeks to explore innovative health solutions to improve the health of youth in Denver and St. Louis. Organizations in each city with innovatives idea are invited to come together collectively to apply as a collaborative effort. The best application will win a $500,000 charitable grant. The 18-month pilot grant was informed in part by the Conversations on Community Health that were held last year in both Denver and St. Louis. Results from this pilot will be used to guide GSK’s future approach to philanthropy.

Collins Foundation Grants

The Collins Foundation is seeking to support organizations in Boulder County, Colo., that operate in the following areas: Arts, education, environment, and health. The Foundation distributes 25 to 30 grants per year that have an average size of $1,000 to $5,000. In total, $75,000 in grant funds are distributed each year.
