The Berks County Community Foundation (BCCF) is seeking applications for its recently launched Nonprofit Building Renovation Grant. This $11,550 grant will be given to one organization for use in the construction or renovation of a facility it owns or is owned on its behalf. Projects that take environmental stewardship (i.e., the building uses alternative energy sources) will be given special consideration.

The Captain Planet Foundation (CPF), in partnership with the Ray C. Anderson Foundation, is seeking applications for its CPF Eco Tech Grants program. Sixteen $2,500 grants will be awarded to schools or non-profits for engaging children in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) projects that use innovation, nature-based design, or technology to address environmental problems in their communities.

Collins Foundation Grants

The Collins Foundation is seeking to support organizations in Boulder County, Colo., that operate in the following areas: Arts, education, environment, and health. The Foundation distributes 25 to 30 grants per year that have an average size of $1,000 to $5,000. In total, $75,000 in grant funds are distributed each year.

The C. Edward and Edith Strobel Charitable Trust funds organizations located in the San Francisco Bay, California area. Though the Trust funds a wide variety of program types, it has been its practice to support primarily conservation efforts, medical research for children’s diseases, and causes relating to heart and lung health. The Trust distributes three grants per year with an average value between $5,000 and $10,000.
