Through this competition, CNCS seeks to increase the impact of national service in 341 specific communities across the country. CNCS intends to fund RSVP grants that support volunteers age 55 years and older in activities that serve community needs and respond to the National Performance Measures in the following focus areas:  Disaster, education, economic opportunity, environment, healthy futures, and veterans/military families.

The Department of State is seeking applicants for an open competition for assistance awards for a University Research Program in Public Policy. This program will ask U.S. and Georgian universities, educational institutes, and non-profit/non-governmental organizations to submit proposals for a two or three-year project to improve the standards of Georgian academic research in Georgian universities and educational institutes, and to encourage greater interaction between Georgian academic researchers, civil society, and government policy-makers.
