The Roy and Marian Holleman Foundation distributes grants to nonprofits that operate in the following focus areas:
- The care, well-being, and general welfare of domesticated animals;
- The academic discipline of library science including, but not limited to, student scholarships in this field of study; and,
- Supporting orphaned and abandoned children, particularly those living within the nations of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Foundation distributes 5 grants per year ranging from $10,000 to $25,000.
To be eligible, organizations must qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. While the Foundation funds organizations around the country, preference will be given to the following named charities: University of San Diego, San Diego, CA; Oklahoma State University Foundation; Our Little Brothers and Sisters, Inc. of Alexandria, VA; and Humane Society of San Diego County, CA.
