Healthy Aging Grants Program: Empowerment

The Tufts Health Plan Foundation’s Healthy Aging Grants Program seeks to fund programs that help older adults live healthier lives. The Program is divided into three categories: Health & Wellness, Purposeful Engagement, and Empowerment. The Empowerment category is designed to provide access to information so that older adults can learn about programs and services in their communities. The foundation also funds transportation programs that empower older adults to be more active in their communities, thereby decreasing social isolation.
Since the foundation began focusing its grantmaking on healthy aging, it has given nearly $12 million to nonprofits that elevate the physical, mental and emotional well-being of older adults and their caregivers. Cycle 1, 2013 grants included $1.6 million in new funding to 34 Massachusetts and Rhode Island-based organizations.Agency(s):

Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization located in either Massachusetts or Rhode Island. In addition, eligible organizations must serve older adults (age 60 or above).
