The Gene Conley Foundation awards grants exclusively for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals. The Foundation distributed 28 grants per year with an average size of $2,000 to $20,000. In total, $340,000 in grant funds are distributed each year.

Eligible Organizations:

Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization. There are no geographic restrictions, though the Foundation has a history of primarily supporting organizations North Central, Texas. Special priority will be given to the following organizations:

  • First Baptist Church, Quanah, Texas
  • Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, Texas
  • Northwest Texas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Wichita Falls, Texas
Applications are accepted year-round, but must be submitted by May 1 to be reviewed at the annual grant meeting that occurs in July.
