Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation Grants

Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation - March 7, 2013

The Frank and Lydia Bergen Foundation seeks to fund organizations that support musical performing arts and musical education. Preference will be given to requests for the following:

  • Arrange for musical entertainment, concerts, and recitals appropriate for the education and instruction of the public in the musical arts. Paramount consideration, however, is given to traditional classical music programs.
  • Aid worthy students of music to secure complete and adequate musical education.
  • Aid organizations in their efforts to present fine music to the public, provided that such organizations are operated exclusively for educational purposes.

Approximately 26 grants between $5,000 and $20,000 will be awarded.

Eligible Organizations

Applicants must be recognized as a 501(c)(3) organization by the Internal Revenue Service, and must be located in either New York or New Jersey. Except as otherwise specified when a grant is awarded, a progress report must be submitted within 6 months after receiving funds.

Closing Dates

April 10 or Aug. 15, 2013
