Blackstone Veterans Hiring Initiative

The Blackstone Charitable Foundation is seeking proposals that will help veterans and active servicemen and women transition to the civilian life. To this end, the Foundation is seeking applications in the following two project areas:

  • Promoting Job Skills Development: Proposals in this area will help foster veterans’ jobs skills and advance their career prospects.
  • Advancing Veteran Business Development and Support: Proposals should include access to business contacts and networks and mentorships.

Grants will last for one year and will range between $10,000 and $50,000.

Eligible Organizations:

Applicants must be a 501(c)(3) organization or affiliated with a nonprofit academic institution.  An audited financial statement of the organization’s last year must also be provided. If this is not available, the applicant should be able to demonstrate its financial stability.
